Affordable Health Insurance offers you a wide variety of medical

insurance is likely for all of us who are in need of it. We just
have to do a little homework to understand what is available,
and ask ourselves what we need and what we can afford. Affordable health insurance can be of different types. - Best place to purchase health insurance? I am starting my own small business and need health insurance for my family. I won't go with Kaiser, please don't ask why. I need an HMO with no deductable or a very low deductable because in my area the Blue Cross, Blue Shield, HealthNet networks have pretty good doctors and hospitals within their "approved" networks. It will be a family-owned sole prop business. I live and work in California, but if there is value in incorporating in another state for the purpose of taxes or prices on health insurance, I guess I could do it...because I have not formally formed the corporation yet. I used to be under the impression that the best prices for Heath Insurance came when you worked for a big company, but things seem to have changed. I recently worked for another smalll family-owned business, and they got very good rates by incorporating and claiming a Headquarters in Washington. What is the best strategy to get the best insurance at the lowest rates for a small group- one family? Thanks!
- I'd say checking with a local company that can tailor something to your plans is the best way to go.
Another route is to look into a health discount plan (it isn't insurance but can save you 30% on dr's costs, 60% on prescriptions, AND be combined with insurance as well)

- In a health insurance policy what does it mean about X amount $ for a deductible? Also any suggestions on any other good yet affordable policies? I am looking at one from work copay 0 deductible but I had better with a prior company. Also I would like dental,on this plan dental is extra at .The policy is Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama.
- It's sad to say, but a lot of employers in this country are going with the higher deductible plans because it is cheaper for them, more expensive for us. I had a ,000 deductible for prenatal care and needless to say I switched to another company. Good luck finding a good insurance company with low deductibles.
- 0 deductible means once a year you have to pay the first 0 in medical bills you accumulate. You also still have to pay the copay at time of visit. Your insurance won't pay anything until you have hit the 0. You may also want to see if you are responsible for any percentage of the charges even after the 0 deductible is met. Most plans only pay doctors a certain percentage of charges and the insured has to pay the remainder. This is referred to as coinsurance.
This may not be a bad plan depending on the monthly premium and if you are responsible for a percentage or not. I hope this helps
I don't have an answer for the 2nd question.
- Ideas for health insurance....? I am 22 yrs and quit my full time job (lost my benefits) and moved back in the with my parents to pursue getting my degree in criminal justice. I don't have health insurance at this point and it is becoming a problem because my wisdom teeth seem to have impacted and am going to need to get them removed soon. I have applied to several insurance agencies such as aetna, blue cross and blue shield, and others and have been denied by all of them due to a prior knee injury 2 years ago that is 100% fixed and cleared by my old doctor. What should I do?

- Most of the time, the schools offer a medical plan you can join on to. Also, if you go to school full time, you may be able to get added back to your parent's policy.
