Your health insurance policy also lists the kinds of services that are not covered by your insurance company. You have to pay for any uncovered medical care health insurance that you receive. Keep in mind that in case of health insurance a medical necessity is not the same as a medical benefit. A medical necessity is something that your doctor has decided is necessary. A medical benefit is something that your insurance plan has agreed to cover. In some cases, your doctor might decide that you need medical care that is not covered by your insurance policy. Managed care health insurance plans, mostly the HMO's, focus primarily on prevention, and people with these types of policies pay less for their coverage. The drawback is that you are limited to specific health care providers. Indemnity plans, also known as fee-for-service plans, will cost you more- but you are completely covered no matter what illness or accident might occur. Indemnity plans place an emphasis on patient choice, allowing you to choose where and when you are treated. visiting - What is the official health care insurance plan for fags? HOMO
- That's rude, but kind of funny.
- Anyone know where can get health care without insurance? I need to see a doctor seriously. And my hubby doesn't have insurance. I know there will be numerous test run due to my symptoms. I know we can not afford them. Anyone know where I should start?
I live in Southeast Texas by the way. If that will help.
- I don't know about Texas but in Michigan there is a Department of Human Services. There are also charitable organizations like Volunteers of America and Christo Rey that help people get medical help. If you are really bad off I would just go into emergency and worry about the debt later.
- There's a company out there that helps people who do not have and need affordable health benefits. It includes regular office visits, any specialists, ancillary care and even pre-existing conditions. It basically includes everything you need help paying for. Their medical plan includes dental, vision, prescription and chiropractic benefits as well. There's no high premiums, deductibles, co-pays, waiting periods, claims forms or anything like that at all. They can save you up to 80% on your out of pocket expenses for a very small fee every month. It could end up saving you a lot of $$ over traditional insurance. Try this website and you can check out the specifics and providers in your area. If your provider isn't on there, he can be added. They are a wonderful company and are members of the BBB. I have benefits through them as well. Hope you find what you need. Please email me if you have any questions, and I'd be happy to help you if I can. Best of luck.
- Health Care Coverage question? When you get health care insurance through work and they talk about deductible- is that what you have to pay BEFORE they pay for services? LIke I have a 00 deductible if I choose to get insurance through my job. Is the money they take out of each check cover that or something else? I have to pay 0 month for family coverage
- The deductible is the amount that you would pay out of pocket before the insurance comany pays. You should check your plan benefits since the deductible usually applies to services that are received out of network, it ususally doesn't apply to in network services.
The 0 withheld from your pay is yor share of the health insurance premium paid each month. This amount should be treated as a pre-tax benefit. If it isn't ask your employer to install a flexible spending plan so that it can be treated as pre-tax income.
- You're exactly right. The doctor's office or hospital will bill the insurance company, but they will turn right around and bill you until your deductible is met. It sucks!
